Little Something Metal Vibrators by Jimmyjane

Review By Trisha & Phil

They are out there, lurking in their well appointed homes and apartments. They have nice things, they don't mind spending money, expensive isn't a word that frightens them. They are the people who might consider buying the more expensive vibrators in the Little Something line, by JimmyJane sex toys.

Metal waterproof vibrator
Little Chroma by Jimmyjane

Jimmyjane makes a couple of nicely designed and fairly reasonably priced vibrators made from metal, the Little Chroma which is available for around $150 , and the more curvy Form 6.

Where the Jimmyjane folks are in a small but interesting niche is the use of more exotic metals in their high quality sex toys. They make (in order of price) aluminum, steel, gold and platinum vibrators! The aluminum Little Chroma comes in about 8 colors, the rest just come in the natural color of the metal used. I swear I want to collect all of them, maybe when I win the lottery?

The Little Gold ($275) and Little Platinum ($395) are both made with expensive and exotic metals that few sex toy companies dabble in. For a few more dollars you can get the Jimmyjane Little Something Gold Eternity and Little Something Platinum Eternity, each with a ring of high quality diamonds around the base! At around $2750 and $3250 respectively, these are hands-down the most expensive vibrators we know of.

Between the plain gold vibrators and the diamond encrusted ones, they also have some models that are etched with cool designs, but personally I like the look of diamonds more ;)

The vibrators made with gold and platinum can last a long time, not just because of the metals used, but because they use a replaceable motor the size of an AA battery. The motor sells for about $35, which isn't too bad considering it can extend the life of an expensive purchase. Imagine a $3000 vibrator that died after a month! Even the least expensive of the Jimmyjanes benefit from this replaceable motor, I think it's a great idea just for keeping dead vibrators out of landfills!

If your vibrator stops working, just open the cap, tip the sex toy to get the battery and motor out, slip your new motor and battery in, replace the cap and you are back in business! Brilliant!

The anodized aluminum Little Chroma vibrator uses this same 'Everlasting' replaceable motor. It sits inside the vibrator with the AA battery that delivers the power. Unlike most vibrators that have variable speeds, the vibration frequency of the Jimmyjane Little Chroma stays constant, but this isn't a bad thing. They've somehow managed to tune it to a very pleasing 'hummmm' (they say it's close to the natural vibration of the human body). It's also very quiet.

In use the Chroma is just about perfect. It feels great in the hand, the quality is apparent just picking it up. The vibration is wonderful, it's nearly silent, yet it feels quiet powerful vibrating through the metal shaft of the sex toy.

The Jimmyjane people have done a great job of making the Little Something vibrator family waterproof, so you have a really easy vibrator to clean. It's also another feature, as the metals hold warmth or cold fairly well. Running the vibrator under the sink to warm it up actually works quite nice, much better than with jelly or silicone.

Quality: Excellent design, materials and everything else really. Simply top notch construction.

Features: Waterproof, metal construction, replaceable motor and dishwasher safe, multiple exotic metals available.

Overall: Something that's actually unique, and fills a void in the high end sex toy market, while giving you the option to extend the life of the vibrator with new motors - the best vibrator idea we've heard of in a long time.
